[She hears the click before she can call out his name again. Briefly, she wonders if she should call him back, then decides it's probably not a good idea. She doesn't think he'd answer the call, for one. If she's going to talk to him, it'll have to be in person.
Korra makes her way over to Fujimaru's block, then slowlyyyyyy pushes the door open.]
[He's kind of got a specific purpose in contacting her, but-- he's not going to just out and out say hey can you come heal me. Normally, he wouldn't even ask. Too much pride. But when the option's there, and you never know when the next assault is coming-- no. He has to be at his best. Suffering for no reason isn't noble.]
I'm all right. Got a favour to ask, though, if you aren't too busy.
[He is terrible at this. It's so obvious he's terrible at this. ASKING FOR HELP IS HARD. It's a good thing this isn't in person he'd be shifting from foot to foot like an awkward kid that just stole something from the cookie jar.]
It's not urgent. I broke some bones during the cave-ins. I heal pretty fast on my own, but-- if you didn't mind I'd appreciate if you could take a look.
[He's less worried about the arm, it's still sore but he figures it's mostly knit back together. But the ribs-- yeah.]
[She drags another chair over to sit beside him, tugging on her water skin.]
Healing's a part of waterbending. I'm just going to use the water to direct the energy in your body, speed up the process.
Where are you hurt? [And now her bottom lip sticks out a little.] You could've said something earlier. You've been walking around with broken bones for days now.
[should he... take his shirt off is that a thing that should happen he has no idea. He gestures to his ribs, though, along his right side. As far as he's been able to tell, he's got a segment cracked loose across three ribs. Not the worst pain he's ever been in, but he hates having his breathing impeded.]
The ribs happened after, few hours before the explosion. The arm's mostly healed now, and wasn't a big priority then. I had decent range of motion and full circulation.
[Korra mutters something under her breath. Steve might catch a few words like "not a big priority my butt" if he listens hard enough.]
I'll check the ribs first and then look at your arm. [She doesn't trust your injury descriptions anymore, Steve.
Korra pulls the water out of the container and presses the bubble over the area he'd gestured at. The water glows faintly as it soaks into his shirt and makes contact with his skin.]
It should be fine. The water can soak through all of those.
[As it's doing now. Korra closes her eyes and concentrates on what the scan is telling her, and when she opens them, she's scowling a little.]
You've fractured your ribs in a few places. And you've been walking around like this. [She gives him a look that basically says "are you kidding me?" ]
Are you...like the supers? [She looks thoughtful, though...she doesn't think that's quite it. Since he actually broke his rib and all, while Kal and them have a harder time of getting injured that badly.]
Not quite as durable. But about five years ago I went through a series of scientific enhancements. I was, ah-- the world's first 'super soldier'. Sort of.
[His expression twists a bit on that little tag-line.]
[There's a shift in her expression, and her free hand comes to a rest on his arm. Maybe this wouldn't have affected her as much before, but being in Haven, the thought of anything done to the body automatically makes her shift into concern.]
