[She's really alarmed now. Is this the fog's doing? Sure, they'd all gotten that really freaky nightmare before, but all of this is ten times worse.

Korra guides the water back into the bottle and drops her hands.]

Do you think you can walk?

[he takes a few more minutes to regain his composure.] Yeah... Yeah I can--

Can you take a look at Kon's hand?

Kon can wait a little longer. [She says this firmly.]

Right now you’re the one that needs my help. Isn’t that why you called me?

Yeah.... I guess you've got a point there. [he sighs. and with that he pushes himself off of the wall. he does stagger a bit, but thankfully rights himself before toppling over.]

[Though Conner catches himself, Korra still reaches out to steady him.]

I know I've got a point.

[Korra's smile is a little wobbly, but she still musters it for him.]

C'mon, let's get you somewhere, where you can rest.

[this is so embarrassing gosh!!!] Yeah I am definitely in favor of sitting down somewhere.

[It takes a little while at their pace, but Korra managers to get him to her apartment, steering him onto the couch.]

How're you feeling now?

Better than before. [he sighs as he collapses onto the couch.] I don't know what happened, but every time I try to mention Y- [he winces a bit.] ugh, there it goes again.

Y...? [So it's a specific something that starts with...ah.

Korra down next to him, thinking.]

Yao? Just nod if that's right.

[She doesn't want him getting sick all over again.]

[he nods.] I don't get it. I felt fine before. I was able to say their name too. [he groans a little bit more.]

It's probably something they did. Kon told me that one of the rebels can't say stuff about Yao either. Whatever they did to him won't let him get the words out.

[She absently touches a hand to his face--just a light touch to check on him--then drops it to her side again.]

Let's just play it safe and stop talking about them for now. We don't know what else is gonna happen if you keep trying.

[conner ever so subtly leans in to her touch when he feels her hand against his face. it's definitely something he's doing on instinct, and it feels really nice. so he doesn't even realize that he's doing it until she drops it. and with that he heaves another sigh] Yeah, probably. I for one don't want to find out either, especially if it's got me feeling like this.

Good. Let's try not to get you even worse than you already are.

[Conner'll probably feel the couch shift when she stands up. Then, he'll feel something cool against his skin as Korra comes back with a clean cloth to dab at his forehead.]

It's been a while since I've had to look after someone like this. Most of the time, it's just...bad injuries and broken bones while we're in Haven. I used to watch Sifu Katara all the time when she took care of the sick, though. I learned a lot from her.

[She's mostly just talking to fill in the silence, since Conner's feeling so terrible.]

[and conner will just lean right back in to her touch when she comes back. he's pretty content to just lie here uselessly on the couch. he does, however, look up when she starts talking again.] Sifu?

Oh...yeah, I guess you guys don't understand the language we use back home. I think Sonia said it's called Chinese here? Or...something like that.

[and she's content to just ramble on while she looks after him.]

Sifu means "Master". She taught me practically everything I know about water bending and healing.

[he pauses.] Oh really? --Wait I should have known this. When you were here the first time you mentioned something along the lines of being able to read one of the books that was in the library. And those are a mixture of English and Chinese. I guess I sort of forgot about that. I'm kind of fluent in Chinese, but I'm probably a bit rusty now that I've been here for so long. That and things just sort of automatically translate into your native language here.... [aahh and now he's rambling!]

That's cool though.

You're...fluent? No way! [She's really pleased about this, for some reason. At least this means they can still talk, even if the translation thing stops working.] That might make things easier later.

[Then, she sort of pauses, looking pensive. Tense, too. Her hand curls around the damp cloth tightly when she pulls away.]

The first time I was here... you said we were pretty close. Do you think I'm...you know. Not as good of a friend as you remember?

[It's probably terrible to ask him this when he's exhausted, but she wants to know--it's been on her mind for a while now.]

[he nods.] Yeah, I guess it's one of the perks of being engineered by Luthor. He probably didn't want a clone that was just too.... I dunno, what's the word. It's not simple. [he yawns a bit as he shifts a little on the couch. he pauses a bit as he cranes his head a little to look at her. his brows quirk at the question.]

Hhmmn, well I think you're still about the same? You were really kind and caring, I actually felt like I was not of a good friend to you when you were here the first time. I vented a lot to you back then and you sort of just took my mind off of things by offering to spar with me, and things like that. I never really got to do the same to you. And I never really got the chance to do it either, 'cause when I tried to I left.

[It might have bothered her before, when she'd first arrived in Haven, but this time Korra just nods slowly, accepting it for what it is. ]

You are a good friend, Conner. You've helped me out more than you even know. Thanks.

[There's a pause.]

Luthor's wrong about you. You're so much more than just a clone.

[he flushes a bit. boy is he glad that he's not really feeling well or he'd have to come up with a witty lie to explain why his cheeks and ears are so flushed. he releases the breath he didn't even know he had been holding as he shifts a little bit more on the couch.

he just about loses it when he hears her next comment though. that came out of no where korra! warn a bro when you're about to give them a compliment-- well no, okay you don't have to warn him. but... it definitely made his stomach do a little flip in excitement. calm down dokis!!! gosh, don't give away his crush just yet. he has to do stupid boy things before he confesses under a dead tree. bc that's totally romantic.] Thank... Thank you Korra. I- [he pauses to clear his throat.] It means a lot to me to hear that.

Any time.

[Conner will feel her hand on his shoulder for a moment, before she pushes herself off the couch and stands up.]

I’ll get you a pillow and a blanket. Maybe after you’ve rested a little, you can move over to one of the beds? We have a couple empty ones in my room, and they’re probably more comfortable than the couch.

[his cheeks pinken a little. thank god he's feeling like shit so he can just blame it on that.] Uhm, no I- I'll be fine here. I don't want to impose.....

You're not. You're feeling like this because of whatever they did.

[She shakes her head.]

Anyway, you can decide after you're feeling better.

I still don't... [because then he'd be really obvious yeah!!!] I don't mind the couch.

Well...if you're sure. [Korra glances at him again before stepping into the room briefly to grab the pillow and blanket.

After she drapes the blanket over him, she slips a hand under his head to help him up.]

Here, lift your head.
