[It kind of amuses her that he's calling so soon after she and Steve went jogging together.]

Wonderin' if you could help me with somethin'. Just a little metalbending.

[There's a surprised pause.]

Uh, sure I can try to help. Should I meet you somewhere?

By the kitchen, in ten minutes?

You got it.

[Korra sets out as soon as she hangs up, and makes it to the soup kitchen soon enough. When she gets there, she looks around for him.]

Hey Korra.

[ She seems a little more melancholy, but sometimes the best cure for that is to keep yourself busy. He waves her towards a small box where he's collected some bits of steel. ]

How're you doin', sweetheart?

[braavado]

[There's a pause before she answers.]

I'm fine. [She looks at the box to avoid his gaze.] Is that the stuff you want me to metalbend?

Lotta ways to be fine.

[ It's a gentle rebuke, a joke, but if she doesn't want to talk there's little he can do. He gestures to the box. ] Yeah, that's it. I've been trying to make a necklace for - a friend.

[braavado]

[Now there's a small smile on her face, called up when he pauses slightly on the word 'friend'.]

A necklace, huh. Must be a pretty special friend.

[It's a kind of relief, to shift her focus onto something a little more lighthearted.]

[ He winks at her. ]

That she is. Is this all right for you or should I get somethin' else?

[Korra leans down to look at the contents of the box, studying them for a second.]</small. Should be alright. It might take a while for me to get this done, though. A necklace is...more delicate than anything I've ever tried making before.

[ The grin softens into a genuine smile. ]

How can I help?

[She pulls out a piece of metal, turning it over in her hands.]

You could start by telling me what kind of necklace you want to give to your lady friend.

[ He describes it to her, gesturing. ]

[Korra listens, head cocked to the side.]

I should be able to do it. It just might take me a little while, getting the shape and size right.
