I don't know how useful being on the run's going to be when Kal can just listen for our heartbeats. We might just have to sit through these and hope for the best.

I mean, we've both already had some version of the talk before...it can't be any worse than that, right?

[Korra gives a careless sort of shrug, before sitting up abruptly.]

Actually, speaking of talks, maybe we should talk about the being safe part? [Though bringing this up again is making her squirm a little.]

We had stuff back home to keep the girl from, you know, getting pregnant, but I don't think we're going to find anything like that here. Did you and Kon use magic or something?

[She didn't go into the details of everything she and Kon did, but let's just say that, at the time, she hadn't figured pregnancy would be any concern.]

[Korra gives a nervous sort of laugh--she can't even blame Zatanna for forgetting when she knows she'd have probably done the same in her place.]

Maybe we should try to figure something out, you know... just in case.

Actually, I do have an idea.

It might take me a bit to remember the whole ritual, but there's a charm. Well, there are several charms, but this one would be meant to prevent that sort of thing. Pregnancy, I mean.

[Korra's mouth opens slightly in surprise.]

You know, I was going to ask, but I thought this might be pushing it, even with your magic.

[She should probably just stop trying to guess what the limits are, honestly.]

What kind of charm are we talking about here?

[There were rules for this sort of thing. Fortunately, Zatanna was a big fan on bending rules.]

The ritual itself might drain me a bit, but if we have the right materials...that's the beauty of it; the charm will end up recharging itself.

Which is why it has to be metal. The purer the better, but I guess we'd have to take whatever we can find around here, huh?

Metal, huh? [Korra looks thoughtful for a moment.]

You can leave that part to me. How much do you need for the charm?

[She thought about it for a second, eyes drifting upward as her fingers twitched in front of her.]

Oh, I'd say about... [Placing her forefingers and thumbs together, respectively, she formed a circle between them roughly three centimeters in diameter.] ...this big. Nine is usually the ideal measurement, but that'd be way too big, so three centimeters should suffice.

I'll check around the place. There's not a whole lot of "pure" metal around here, but I'm sure I can find something if I look hard enough.

[She grins at Zatanna.]

For now... [Korra drapes herself back across the couch.] Let's just hang out here until we need to head back.

[And she proceeded to drape herself in a similar manner, taking great joy in the relief that came with it. Both the plan they'd come up with to handle...things...as well as the moment of peace. In the company of a good friend.]
